This is a fragment of a bigger Colorpuncture treatment for colds and flus; it can be used other inflammatory processes in the face and head (ears, teeth, sinuses, nose, throat); this Acupuncture-based point combination could be done as often as every 4 hours in the first day or two of acute cold until the symptoms subside. We treat left hand first and then the right hand.
This is one of the most well loved and well used treatments in Colourpuncture (along with ‘Decompression of Spine and Pelvis’). This treatment is easily done at home, in bed even when you are very much ‘under the weather’ as all the points (face and hands) are easy to reach and the effect is felt almost immediately. In practice, it’s often comes to 4 times a day first day, then 1-2/day on the next day or two; but if you catch the cold in the very beginning then one day of these treatments will create a big difference and less treatments overall will be needed; timing is important with colds and flus both with Colourpuncture and Acupuncture or Acupressure – the sooner you start the less treatments will be needed and the better the effect will be.
We are bringing all easy and effective self-care – Colourpuncture, Dreamwork (intentional dreaming with dream analysis) and Journalling under one roof on YouTube and so also moving our demo video ‘Colourpuncture for Colds and Flus’ from Colourpuncture Academy channel which we are closing down soon. Please subscribe to this YouTube channel if you are a student, use Colorpuncture for your self-care, new to Colourpuncture or if you were subscribed to Colourpuncture Academy channel.
‘Colourpuncture for Colds and Flus’ was probably the very first video we made on Colourpuncture 🙂 and I’m particularly grateful for the role this Colorpuncture treatment played in mine and my family’s life.
Please do watch our related videos (in the related reading list below) on:
- how to choose Colourpuncture colour – cold or hot – (here we use Red to support ‘defensive Qi’ or/and make chronic processes acute by supporting local blood circulation in the area and flow of Qi within the meridians of Lungs and Large Intestine; in cases of fever we switch to Blue which calms and sedates and regulates the inflammation accompanied by fever)

- detailed location/indication breakdown on points shown (LI4 and Lu7)

- Colourpuncture colour properties and indications would be a good place to start; Red, Blue, as well as Yellow (in some treatments with a complementary Violet) are most often used for foundational self care in supporting Immune system and treating Colds, Flus, Sinusitis, Ear and Throat pain.
This treatment is a part of Toxic-Lymphatic pattern of Colourpuncture which can be summed up with a keyword: reaction.
Colourpuncture self-care for colds, flus is incidentally also effective for general letting go issues…
With chronic/stubborn/frequent colds and flus it is also important to do a regular (once a month at least) full lymphatic reset – one of Colourpuncture ‘reset’ treatment which we use periodically for a chronic, stubborn ailment/condition or just a known constitutional weakness (preventatively rather than just symptomatically).
