Stepping out of the dream and self image and connecting it with a real life. 

  • Zooming out of the dream and into a person’s present life’s situation + life long challenges  (cross check with recurrent dreams or dream themes) to see how the initial understanding/interpretation of the dream (as per our simple dream analysis script of 3 questions from L1) can be fine tuned taking into account present day’s life’s situation. Present life situation is always our anchor as our brain processes daily events in our sleep and these are likely to filter in as symbols into our dreams. 
  • Check if active imagination needed: do you need to change the ending to a more desirable outcome; the start (to equip the character better) to at any point in the middle to introduce some powerful character who can change the dynamics and support the main character (could be you while/after you are doing your dream analysis and seeing the overall meaning – entering the dream as in active imagination and instructing the main characters with this wisdom). OR: use active imagination if you would like to explore your dream further without changing anything in your dream. 
  • What is the tangible action at the end – how can we acknowledge and act upon the guidance which our higher Self is giving us through this dream (it is important for the continuation of the dialogue between your Inner self and your Daily/decision making Self). If there is absolutely nothing obvious to do (rare situation) you can simply write down: “I had this dream (briefly describe the dream). I did a simple dream analysis. I don’t feel/think there is anything to be done here in a tangible, practical realm. I’m grateful for the messages but I don’t see the need/I’m not going to do anything new/differently/review something based on that message/awareness/better understating”. This will have to pass through your inner Rebel check point and if passed, this will reassure the Inner Self so communication continues. The truth is: there is always something to be done even if just internally; however, based on other presenting factors, we genuinely may not see what our options are or why this can be important. Recorded on paper, this will act as an opening for something which may reveal itself in future.  

These steps are neither to alter the dream nor to argue with a dream analysis. These are to expand our consciousness in general by creating the bridge and open a more intentional and deeper communication between our Inner self and a Daily self. Take these as a play. No matter what may reveal itself on this stage, your original dream analysis as in Level 1 practice will still hold true. These are playful, imaginative consciousness expansion exercises to introduce some freedom and movement into our inner life and this may reveal otherwise hidden aspects of our self, the dream and the overall integration of the dream into our daily life. In a way here we are stepping outside of fabric of our dream and our Self as we see ourself and stepping more into the Totality. You may need somebody’s input/facilitation for this stage to start with.
